Play Patrol Company is seeking a creative Social Media Manager to help grow the online presence of Mister Boom Boom's Music Room, a popular children's music brand with an established YouTube audience.

Mister Boom Boom performs live shows for schools, camps, libraries, and family events. Our goal is to expand our social media presence to reach more parents, educators, and school leaders while increasing opportunities for live performances and merchandise sales.

This role will focus on creating short form content using clips from live performances and existing YouTube videos, while also helping develop strategies to grow followers across our social media platforms.

This is a contractor role with potential to expand to managing Play Patrol Company's full social media presence.

Responsibilities

Create short form video content using clips from Mister Boom Boom live performances

Repurpose existing YouTube content into engaging short videos for social media

Post and manage content on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts

Maintain a consistent posting schedule of short form videos

Write captions and optimize posts for engagement and reach

Lead creative ideas for growing our social media audience

Develop strategies to grow followers so our social media platforms become comparable in reach to our YouTube channel

Help attract parents, especially moms, who support children's music and educational content

Create content that appeals to schools, school leaders, and educators

Support growth in live performance bookings and merchandise sales through engaging social media content

Qualifications

Experience creating short form video content for social media

Strong video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar software

Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

Ability to turn long form content into engaging short clips

Creative thinker who can identify moments that will perform well on social media

Strong organizational and communication skills

Bonus if you have experience working with children's entertainment, music, or educational brands

Compensation

This is a contractor position.

$500 per month base compensation.

If the role expands to include management of Play Patrol Company's broader social media accounts, compensation may increase up to $1,000 per month.

Performance bonuses are available:

$50 bonus for each video that reaches 50,000 views, up to $200 per month

$50 bonus for any month in which the channel gains 1,000 new subscribers
