Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable/Collections/Credit Manager to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will oversee the company’s credit process, from processing and approving new credit approvals to monitoring existing credit limits and assisting with collections with our customers.
This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company’s financial health while supporting ongoing business operations and growth.
Responsibilities:
· Establish and maintain credit rating criteria and determine credit limits
· Oversee the credit approval and review process to ensure compliance with company policy
· Manage and maintain accurate customer credit files and documentation
· Conduct periodic reviews and updates of corporate credit policies and procedures
· Analyze delinquent accounts and collaborate with branch managers to implement effective collection strategies
· Support negotiations of payment arrangements to minimize risk and optimize cash flow
· Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on credit risk, collections performance, and outstanding receivables.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Credit Manager or in a similar credit and risk management role
· Strong knowledge of credit regulations, compliance standards, and relevant financial laws
· Demonstrated experience conducting credit evaluations and risk assessments
· Proficiency in credit management systems, databases, and financial software applications
· Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
· Strong organizational, leadership, and team management abilities
· Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field
