Role Description
We are seeking to hire a Graphic Design Intern who can begin immediately with remote design support and then contribute consistently throughout the season. This is a seasonal role running through the conclusion of the Lowell Spinners’ 2026 season, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs and performance.
This is a paid internship, with weekly work ranging from 0 to 20 hours.
Create clean, modern, on-brand visuals that drive engagement and sales across social, web, email, and in-stadium promotions—executing quickly while maintaining strong design standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Design social-first graphics (game day posts, lineups, scores, player spotlights, sponsor features, story templates).
- Adhere closely to pre-existing templates created by other team members.
- Develop and maintain brand-consistent templates/systems to increase speed and consistency across the season.
- Produce marketing assets for ticketing, theme nights, promotions, community initiatives, and partner/sponsor deliverables.
- Support merchandise design needs (simple apparel graphics, product mockups, drop announcements) and coordinate with print vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with the Social/Content team to translate content ideas into visuals and ensure deadlines are met.
Required Qualifications
- Strong graphic design portfolio showing social/digital work (sports design is a plus, but not required).
- Proficiency in Photoshop (Illustrator, Figma, InDesign a plus)
- Ability to work fast without sacrificing polish; strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Reliable, self-directed, responsive, and organized with versioning and file management.
- Understanding of platform-specific sizing and best practices (IG posts/stories, TikTok thumbnails, X, etc.).
- Availability to support tight turnarounds around game days and promotional pushes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sports/entertainment design experience (college, minor league, agency, or freelance).
- Illustration skills (mascot concepts, icons, custom assets) and/or strong photo compositing.
- Experience creating sponsor/partner assets and working within brand guidelines.
- Familiarity with print production basics (bleeds, color modes, vendor handoff).
