Responsibilities/Duties:
· Maintains a positive work attitude by acting and communicating in a manner conducive to good interpersonal relations with customers, all public, co-workers and managers, in accordance with the spirit of Cityscapes’ mission.
· Develop and manage botanical design concepts, mood boards, and planning frameworks.
· Managing installations ranging from individual desk arrangements to large-scale interior plant displays
· Provide hands-on design support
· Research and develop new design trends and ideas
· Manages floral sourcing, purchasing, production, and quality control, ensuring design consistency, product freshness, and alignment with client expectations and Cityscapes’ aesthetic standards
· Events sales, purchasing, production and coordination
· Conducts scheduled meetings with Design Team
· Provides training and performance reviews to team
· Offers creative support and open thoughtful communication with all departments
· Assesses staffing needs and makes recommendations to executive management
Essential Skills and Experience:
· 5+ years of experience in tropical plant design, interior plant installations, floral design, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment.
· Demonstrated expertise in tropical plant selection, care requirements, plant rotations, and large-scale interior plant installations.
· Experience developing and executing fresh floral design programs, including sourcing, production, and quality control.
· Proven leadership experience managing creative or production teams, including performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
· Strong experience with purchasing, vendor management, and product sourcing (tropical plants, florals, containers, hard goods, and related materials).
· Working knowledge of budget planning, cost control, margin awareness, and departmental forecasting.
· Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience coordinating cross-departmentally with Sales, Operations, Installation, and Service teams.
· Proficiency with business systems such as NetSuite, Access, or similar ERP/database platforms.
· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly perform physical activities including bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
· Ability to safely lift and move materials and plant product consistent with the demands of interior plant installations and warehouse operations (medium to heavy physical activity).
· Comfortable working in a combination of office, warehouse, and on-site client environments.
· Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
· Strong cognitive ability to retain and apply information such as processes, plant care requirements, scheduling details, and operational procedures.
· Effective listening and verbal communication skills to understand and convey information clearly to clients and team members.
Pay: $67,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
