YINAN is a New York–based designer-led fashion brand rooted in wearable art, elevated craftsmanship, and emotionally driven storytelling. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about high-end fashion and wants hands-on experience within an independent studio environment, supporting both the creative and technical sides of the design process.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development process across ready-to-wear, accessories, and collection development
- Assist with garment construction, fittings, sample organization, and design studio support
- Create and revise digital flats / CADs
- Help organize fabrics, trims, samples, references, and ongoing design materials
- Support styling preparation, moodboards, and visual research
- Assist with Garment District sourcing runs, sample pickups/drop-offs, and material coordination
- Help maintain a highly organized and efficient studio workflow
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of garment construction
- Is extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with precision
- Has a strong eye for high-end fashion, silhouette, proportion, and styling
- Is experienced in digital flats / CAD
- Is familiar with CLO 3D
- Is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Is familiar with the Garment District and comfortable navigating sourcing and production-related tasks
- Is a great communicator, proactive, and collaborative
- Is comfortable making small local trips for materials, trims, and sample-related errands
