We are currently expanding our CAD team at Hyde Park Mouldings and are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter / CAD Engineer to join our team in Hauppauge, Long Island, NY.
This is a full-time, in-office position where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support the design and production of high-end, custom architectural projects, including mouldings, ornamental plaster, and GFRG elements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed 2D shop drawings, including reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, and part breakdowns
• Prepare drawings for the manufacturing and assembly of custom architectural components
• Collaborate with architects, designers, craftsmen, and project teams
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of drawings and documentation
• Support coordination between design, production, and installation teams
Qualifications:
• Experience in millwork, stonework, construction, or fabrication environments
• Background in interior design or classical architecture is a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoDesk AutoCAD LT preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Requirements:
• Ability to commute to Hauppauge, NY (this is an in-office role)
• Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD experience
