As a Python Developer, you will be part of the Data Science Engineering team supporting internal tooling and open source development initiatives. - Develop and contribute to open source data science tools using Python within a Conda Forge ecosystem.
- Build internal equivalents of open source tooling to support enterprise-wide adoption.
- Manage dependencies and compiled libraries (C/C++) for data science applications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to open source projects with real, inspectable code.
What's Needed?
- Extensive experience with Python for data science, beyond general scripting.
- Strong understanding of the Conda Forge ecosystem and open source contribution experience.
- Proficiency in dependency management and working with compiled libraries (C/C++).
- Active public GitHub or similar platform showcasing real code contributions.
- Passion for open source projects, with a history of fixing bugs or adding features.
