Job Title: Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Contract : 16 Weeks (4 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
pay rate- $2200/week - $2500/week (Stipend included- $1800/week)
Note: No local candidates within 50 miles from Atlanta GA 30342
Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and pathology systems
- Provide ongoing system support and troubleshooting for lab operations
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, IT teams, and hospital departments
- Ensure systems meet regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA)
- Participate in system testing, upgrades, and implementations
- Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements and system enhancements
- Support integration of lab systems with other hospital platforms (EHR, billing, etc.)
- Assist in multi-departmental system testing and validation activities
Required Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Laboratory Science
- Computer Science
- Health Informatics
- OR a related field
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as:
- clinical laboratory knowledge and healthcare IT systems experience.
- Systems Analyst OR
- Senior Systems Analyst
- Must have experience in a healthcare environment
- Background in clinical laboratory operations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Healthcare system workflows
Eligibility Note
To qualify for travel stipends, your permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from Atlanta, GA. Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this role.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with LIS platforms such as:
- Epic Beaker
- Cerner
- Sunquest
- ASCP (Medical Laboratory Scientist)
- Familiarity with:
- CAP / CLIA regulations
- Prior experience in system implementations or upgrades
- Certifications such as:
- Health IT certifications
