Gridwork AE (formerly Livermore Architecture & Engineering) is an architectural design and structural engineering firm located in Portland, Oregon, specializing in commercialand industrial building types. We are a small firm that regularly completes big projects in a range of different markets. Gridwork AE provides a friendly, positive work environment where each employee is given considerable responsibility for the design and management of her or his projects.
We currently have a full-time position for a talented, intelligent, and hard-working individual. Responsibilities will include performing structural calculations, drafting construction drawings using AutoCAD or Revit, field inspections, and construction administration. Over time the successful candidate may be expected to add project management tasks including client contact, scheduling and budgeting, contract writing, and business development.

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
- 5 years of experience in the structural engineering design field.
- Experience with steel and concrete structural systems.
Preferred Skills and Credentials:
- Project management experience and the ability to work cooperatively with architects, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Working knowledge of structural engineering applications (Risa, EnerCalc and MathCad).
- Licensed or actively pursuing licensure.
- Working knowledge of the International Building Code.
- Experience with wood and masonry design.
