Fresno Equipment Co. is a John Deere Agriculture and Turf equipment dealership serving California’s Central Valley with two locations in Fresno County. We provide a full line of John Deere agricultural and turf equipment, parts, service, technology, and support solutions for a wide range of customers including production agriculture, dairy, orchards, vineyards, and rural lifestyle operations.
We are seeking a Precision Ag Manager to lead and grow our precision agriculture strategy across both dealership locations. This position will play a key role in helping customers adopt and maximize John Deere precision technology, while also supporting our sales, service, and parts teams with training, implementation, and customer support.
Position Summary
The Precision Ag Manager will lead the dealership’s precision agriculture efforts, including the execution of John Deere Precision Ag initiatives, support programs, customer solutions, and technology adoption. This position will work closely with sales, service, parts, and leadership teams to identify customer needs and develop solutions that improve customer productivity, efficiency, and machine performance.
The Precision Ag Manager will also supervise Precision Ag support personnel and help ensure Fresno Equipment Co. remains a trusted leader in precision farming technology throughout our area.
Responsibilities
- Lead the dealership’s overall Precision Ag strategy and implementation across both Fresno County locations
- Work closely with sales, service, and parts departments to develop and deliver precision farming solutions for customers
- Support customers with John Deere technology including guidance, AutoTrac, Section Control, variable rate applications, telematics, JDLink, Operations Center, machine connectivity, data transfer, and display setup
- Assist with machine demonstrations, customer field visits, technology setup, delivery support, and operator training
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and return on investment
- Provide training and support for dealership employees on current and emerging precision farming technologies
- Help develop dealership processes for equipment setup, calibration, activation, and technology support
- Identify precision farming products and services that should become standard offerings throughout the dealership
- Assist with precision technology inventory planning and coordinate with sales and parts teams to ensure proper stocking levels
- Manage the adoption of new John Deere technology, product launches, and updates
- Coordinate with outside partners and third-party providers when necessary to support customer needs
- Support dealership marketing efforts related to precision agriculture, including customer events, clinics, ride-and-drives, demonstrations, and technology-focused promotions
- Travel between both Fresno Equipment Co. locations and customer operations throughout the dealership’s territory
- May provide consulting support to customers related to machine utilization, agronomic technology, operating efficiency, and data management
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in agriculture, precision farming, equipment technology, agronomy, or a related field
- Prior experience in a John Deere dealership, agriculture dealership, farm operation, or related agricultural business preferred
- Strong understanding of Precision Ag systems and related technology platforms
- Knowledge of equipment guidance systems, displays, telematics, machine connectivity, and precision farming applications
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and leadership teams
- Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and identify emerging customer and market needs
- Comfortable training employees and customers on new technology
- Ability to work flexible hours during busy seasons and travel regularly throughout the dealership territory
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Agricultural Mechanization, Precision Agriculture, or related field preferred
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification or equivalent experience is a plus

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
