Staff Accountant (Temp to Hire) Pay Range: $39–$42/hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a strong Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization. This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable operating at a high level but is equally willing to stay close to the details—especially within accounts payable and accounts receivable.
This is a hands-on position. You will be expected to step into the day-to-day activity, work through volume, resolve issues, and help bring structure and consistency to the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Work directly in AP and AR—processing invoices, applying cash, managing vendor issues, and supporting collections
- Handle high-volume transactional activity while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies across billing, payments, and account balances
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure proper coding and classification
- Assist with intercompany activity and multi-entity accounting as needed
- Prepare basic financial reporting and support variance analysis
- Partner with internal teams to clean up issues and keep processes moving
- Support audit requests and maintain organized documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred, not required.
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience with strong, hands-on AP/AR exposure
- Comfortable working through volume and ambiguity without losing attention to detail
- Solid understanding of general ledger and month-end close
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or SAP) and strong Excel skills
- Willingness to take ownership, ask questions, and dig into issues
- Reliable, accountable, and able to operate without heavy oversight
