We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Development Analyst to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will leverage your financial expertise to support data-driven decision-making, provide actionable insights, and contribute to the company's growth strategies. You will work closely with executive leadership, private equity investors, and cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze, and present data to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and deliver actionable insights to functional leaders.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial and operational metrics reports for executives and investors.
• Participate in due diligence, financial modeling, and financing for potential acquisitions.
• Identify and communicate risks and opportunities that may impact business performance.
• Manage financial oversight for specific revenue and cost categories within the organization.
• Improve forecasting accuracy and perform variance analyses for budgets and forecasts.
• Utilize planning software and multiple data sources to extract and analyze critical data.
• Collaborate with executives on FP& A matters to drive informed decision-making.
• Integrate AI tools to enhance financial workflows, streamline diligence processes, and generate executive-ready financial narratives.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate FP& A, or a similar role.
• Proven expertise in building financial models, integrated financial statements, and valuations.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools applied to financial workflows, demonstrating measurable improvements.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Genuine interest in the evolving role of AI in finance and a proactive approach to leveraging new technologies.
