Position Overview
In this role, you will support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and custom machinery, working alongside experienced engineers from concept through production and build. You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of projects while contributing to designs, documentation, and hands-on build support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design of custom automated assembly equipment and mechanical systems
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detail drawings using SolidWorks
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation
- Ensure accuracy of drawings and documentation for manufacturing release
- Support machine builds, assembly, and debugging efforts on the production floor
- Work with manufacturing to improve designs for usability and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams on project work
- Support updates through engineering changes and revisions
- Learn and apply best practices in machine design, drafting, and manufacturing processes
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of mechanical design or related engineering experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards (GD&T preferred)
- Exposure to machine design, automation, or manufacturing environments is a plus
- Familiarity with mechanical components such as motors, sensors, pneumatics, etc. is helpful, but not required

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME/MSME) or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the design of automated assembly equipment (or closely related machinery)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
