About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst Lead with strong data experience to support enterprise financial and regulatory reporting initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology—owning source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and ETL alignment across an enterprise data warehouse environment.
You’ll work closely with Data Engineering, Risk/Finance stakeholders, and OFSAA teams to ensure data is accurate, traceable, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Data Mapping & Lineage
- Lead end-to-end source-to-target mapping from banking systems into data warehouse layers (staging, fact, and reporting)
- Define and document business rules, transformation logic, and data lineage
- Ensure full traceability and reconciliation across reporting pipelines
SQL & Data Validation
- Write and analyze complex SQL / PL/SQL to validate data and troubleshoot issues
- Build data validation queries, exception reports, and quality checks
- Support data quality controls and sign-off processes
ETL & Data Processing
- Work closely with ETL processes including lookups, transformations, aggregations, and CDC
- Ensure alignment between mapping logic and ETL workflows
- Support job scheduling, monitoring, restartability, and runbooks
Data Warehouse & Analysis
- Query and analyze data within an Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Support data design decisions and ensure scalability for reporting
OFSAA Alignment
- Partner with OFSAA teams to support regulatory and financial reporting requirements
- Participate in SIT/UAT, defect resolution, and production readiness
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with Product, Risk, Finance, and Engineering teams to gather requirements and prioritize work
- Produce clear documentation including:
- BRDs
- Data mapping documents
- ETL design specs
- Test plans and runbooks
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Data Analyst in banking or financial services
- Strong SQL / PL-SQL skills
- 3+ years of experience working with ETL processes
- 3+ years of experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing
- Proven experience with source-to-target mapping and data lineage
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OFSAA (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications)
- Knowledge of banking products, regulatory reporting, or Basel concepts
- Experience with Snowflake, DataStage, or similar tools
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Zena) and version control (Git)
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
