STUDIO JOSEPH is a small design firm working in the cultural realm. Our work is diverse and interdisciplinary, combining architecture, graphics, media, and storytelling. We are looking for a talented designer with 1-5 years experience that is curious, thoughtful, and creative.
The position will require a conceptual thinker that can generate innovative design ideas, helping the institutions we work with reimagine their future. As we are a small office, it will include involvement across all phases of work, from concept design through all documentation and construction phases in order to cohesively realize unique environments and installations. The ideal candidate brings a proactive attitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ability to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively is essential.
This is an in-person position in NYC. We do offer the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Requirements
- 1-5 years experience
- Professional architectural degree (M.Arch or B.Arch)
- Excellent design skills
- Excellent visualization skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in teams
- Proficient in: Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Enscape
- Legal authorization to work in the US
