Job Overview
Support the Designer(s) in the development and execution of seasonal outerwear collections, from concept through sample stage.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in seasonal research, including shopping retail and online to identify trends, silhouettes, and key items.
- Support preparation of color palettes, trend boards, and inspiration presentations.
- Assist with fabric and trim sourcing, including organizing swatches and maintaining material libraries.
- Create and update CADs in Adobe Illustrator under Designer direction.
- Assist in building and updating tech packs and BOMs as needed.
- Maintain organization of proto samples, development racks, and design materials.
- Photograph samples and organize images for internal use.
- Assist in preparing seasonal line sheets and presentation materials.
- Support sample tracking for development and marketing needs.
- Attend fit sessions; take notes and update tech packs with revisions.
- Assist with artwork and graphic development as directed.
- Track lab dips, fabrics, and trims; help organize approvals for review.
- Communicate with vendors and factories on follow-ups, under Designer guidance.
- Support day-to-day administrative and design tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of apparel design or relevant internship experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of Excel. Ai programs is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction and execute tasks efficiently
- Basic understanding of garment construction and fit
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude, proactive, and eager to learn.
