At Sacco Carpet, we specialize in designing and producing bespoke carpets and rugs that merge timeless craftsmanship with contemporary design. Each piece we create is tailored with artistry, precision, and passion. We are seeking a Junior Artist to join our team and support the creative development of our custom projects.
What You’ll Do
As our Junior Artist, you’ll collaborate with our design team to bring unique carpet and rug concepts to life. Your role will involve both creative artistry and technical precision, ensuring our clients receive exceptional designs that reflect their vision.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating original designs inspired by market trends, or adapting archival artworks to meet client needs
- Applying revisions and adjustments based on client feedback
- Preparing detailed technical drawings and specifications for production mills
- Developing production diagrams from client floorplans
- Maintaining and updating Sacco Carpet’s design archive
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is equally comfortable sketching creative concepts as they are refining detailed production artwork.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or a related field • 2+ years in rug, textile design with specific experience in the high-end hospitality or luxury sectors
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Strong color sense and ability to differentiate subtle variations in the color spectrum
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong mathematical and technical ability to work with floorplans and different measurement systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
