Position Summary
You42 Eatz is looking for a detail-oriented and versatile HR & Finance Coordinator to serve as the backbone of our growing hospitality operations. This hybrid role bridges the gap between our two restaurants, bar, and bodega, and our corporate office. Under our HR Director, you will be the primary point of contact for employee onboarding and scheduling support, while simultaneously acting as the right hand to our Corporate Controller to maintain financial integrity. The ideal candidate is highly organized, strictly confidential, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & Operations Support
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the end-to-end new hire process, including background checks, I-9 verification, and orientation materials.
- Scheduling Coordination: Partner with General Managers at each location to assist in maintaining staff schedules, monitoring labor hours, and ensuring proper coverage.
- Employee Records: Maintain secure and up-to-date digital employee files, including payroll information, performance documentation, and contact information.
- Communication Hub: Serve as the primary liaison between restaurant staff and corporate HR for policy questions, benefits administration, and payroll troubleshooting.
Financial Coordination
- Bookkeeping & Reporting: Assist the Corporate Controller with daily and weekly financial reporting, including entering invoices, tracking expenses, and reconciling bank statements.
- Data Management: Organize and digitize receipts, vendor contracts, and tax documentation to ensure a seamless audit trail.
- Process Improvement: Support the Controller in implementing and enforcing financial standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all four You42 Eatz locations.
- Inventory & Audit Support: Assist in tracking inventory costs and conducting periodic physical counts to ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in office administration, HR coordination, or bookkeeping—preferably in a restaurant or multi-unit hospitality environment.
- Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; experience with HRIS platforms and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Toast) is a significant plus.
- Attention to Detail: Uncompromising accuracy when handling financial data and sensitive personnel information.
- Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex corporate policies into simple, actionable information for front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Organizational Agility: Comfortable multitasking between high-level financial tasks and day-to-day staff administrative needs.

Salary Range
$45,000-$55,000 Annually
