Solutions Architect: Financial Intelligence
Location: Greater Boston Area (Hybrid)
Reports To: VP of Customer Success
About Profit Isle
Profit Isle is building a new category:Financial Intelligence, not financial reporting. We transform fragmented ERP, CRM, and HR systems into a unified, ontology-driven intelligence layer that explains profit, cost distortion, and operational performance in real terms. OurProfit OS solution brings AI-enabled innovation to the Office of the CFO. We are not just providing analytics; we are defining a new language for how profit is modeled and understood.
The Role
As a Solutions Architect, you are the technical mastermind behind every successful customer deployment. You don’t just manage a relationship; you architect the data journey. You are responsible for deconstructing a client’s complex financial environment and mapping it into our proprietary canonical models. This role requires the rare ability to sit with a CFO to understand their business logic and then sit with Data Engineers to ensure that logic is codified accurately in our platform.
Core Responsibilities
- Solution Design:Lead the technical discovery process to understand customer data landscapes (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce) and design the architecture for their Profit OS implementation.
- Ontology Mapping:Act as the primary expert in mapping "messy" real-world financial data into the structured Profit Isle Language, ensuring high-fidelity cost assignments and profit analysis.
- Data-to-Value Orchestration:Drive the "technical critical path" of deployments, identifying potential data gaps or cost distortions early in the implementation lifecycle.
- Technical Advocacy:Serve as the technical voice of the customer back to our Product and Engineering teams, helping prioritize features that solve common data normalization hurdles.
- Strategic Consulting:Work alongside the VP of Sales and VP of CS to provide technical credibility during the pre-sales and onboarding phases, proving the ROI of our AI-assisted inference systems.
- Documentation & Standards:Create repeatable implementation frameworks and "blueprints" to reduce time-to-value for new enterprise clients.
What We’re Looking For
- The "Translator" Skillset:You can translate a CFO’s strategic questions (e.g., "Where is my cost distortion?") into technical requirements for data pipelines and schema inference.
- Technical Depth:Proficiency in modern data architectures, SQL, and understanding of API-driven systems. Familiarity with Google Cloud (BigQuery, Vertex AI) is a major plus.
- Financial Literacy:You must understand the mechanics of P&L statements, revenue recognition, and unit economics. You understand why data behaves differently in an ERP vs. a CRM.
- Systems Thinking:You don't just look at outputs; you care about the underlying architecture and how it supports long-term, high-trust financial modeling.
- Ambiguity Navigator:You thrive in "category-builder" environments where you must often create the technical playbook as you go.
What You’ll Get
- Direct Influence:Your architectural decisions will directly shape the evolution of a category-definingsolution.
- Complexity & Impact:Solve the hardest data problems in the enterprise world—making sense of fragmented financial systems at scale.
- High-Output Culture:Join a team of builders who value technical excellence and tangible profit results over corporate optics.
