Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Finance & Accounting Analyst for the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United (CNA/NNU). This is a full-time, onsite position based in Oakland, CA.
Position Overview
The Finance & Accounting Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial operations, reporting, and compliance across CNA/NNU and its affiliated entities. This position partners closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial insights, support audits, and contribute to organizational decision-making. Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements and prepare detailed reports
- Conduct financial research and trend analysis to support budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end close processes
- Lead and contribute to ad hoc financial analysis projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting workflows
Qualifications
- Strong experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with fund accounting or multi-entity environments preferred
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Compensation And Benefits
This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $124,308 to $130,560, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage for employees and their families, as well as a generous pension plan.
