Starling Jewelry — Los Angeles (In-Person)
Starling is a Los Angeles–based fine jewelry brand focused on modern heirlooms, responsibly sourced gemstones, and pieces designed to last generations.
We’re hiring a Social Media & Community Manager to support Instagram and TikTok, manage day-to-day community engagement, and assist with broader marketing and brand initiatives.
This is a hands-on, content-first role — ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, engaging with customers, and being closely involved in how a brand shows up day-to-day.
Role Overview
You’ll work directly with the founder to create and publish content, manage our social channels, and engage with our audience. The founder is the primary on-camera presence — this role is primarily behind the camera, focused on filming, editing, and execution, with additional responsibility for community, creator relationships, and light marketing support.
What You’ll Do
Content & Social
- Film and edit content for Instagram and TikTok (iPhone + CapCut or similar)
- Capture product, process, and behind-the-scenes moments in the studio
- Work closely with the founder to execute content ideas quickly
- Post consistently and maintain a cohesive, elevated visual identity
Community- Manage DMs, comments, and customer interactions across platforms
- Build relationships with customers and maintain a thoughtful brand voice
- Flag customer insights, feedback, and trends
Creator Community & Events
- Build relationships with creators, stylists, and brand-aligned talent
- Coordinate gifting and organic partnerships
- Support small, in-person events and gatherings (content capture, light coordination)
- Identify collaboration opportunities that feel aligned with the brand
Performance & Growth
- Track content performance and identify what’s resonating
- Use insights to iterate and improve content quickly
- Support steady growth across Instagram and TikTok
Sales & Marketing Support
- Create content that supports product launches and key selling moments
- Highlight products in a clear, compelling way that drives engagement and conversion
- Assist with light marketing needs to keep messaging consistent across channel
Who This Is For
- 2–4 years experience or equivalent (including freelance or self-taught)
- Strong visual instincts and taste level
- Comfortable filming and editing content
- Fast, efficient editor (CapCut or similar)
- Strong written communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
- Interest in jewelry, fashion, or design
This is a junior to mid-level role with room to grow.

Compensation
$70,000–$80,000 depending on experience
