How you can make a difference
This role will work across all departments and business units to provide a wide range of financial and decision support to senior business leaders, including the preparation and maintenance of short-term and long-term financial forecasts, evaluation of new corporate initiatives, and other ad-hoc projects. This position typically performs work in a centralized, corporate environment and reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). This individual will support the FP&A function by focusing their efforts on driving the forecast process for specific products as well as helping scale the FP&A function through the use of technology and best practices.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for owned areas in close collaboration with the rest of Finance, Accounting, and other departments
- Lead, coach, and develop FP&A team members, providing clear direction, feedback, and support to drive high‑quality forecasting, analysis, and business partnership.
- Consolidates and prepares financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual)
- Deliver forecast accuracy through deep understanding of owned areas and leadership to senior analysts
- Collaborates and regularly interacts with other departments and senior leaders to provide key financial analysis support
- Contributes to the preparation of Management and board-level reporting packages and presentations
- Contributes to the success of the FP&A team by providing leadership and mentorship to various members of the FP&A team
- Builds scalable forecast models by leveraging technology
- Ownership for story telling for consolidated results of stock-based compensation, benefits, and other allocations
- Resolves complex problems and performs postmortem analysis. What happened? Why did it happen? What does this mean going forward?
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting or thorough knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting through demonstrated work exerience.
- CPA, CMA, CFA, FPAC or other relevant certifications a plus
- 6+ years prior work experience within FP&A, with proven track record of success.
- 2+ years managing people within a FP&A function.
- Hands‑on experience forecasting and managing stock‑based compensation and enterprise benefits
- One who enjoys gaining insights into the business, learning, and collaborating across the Company
- Excellent technical knowledge of finance and accounting functional areas is required.
- Scenario-based financial modeling
- Highly analytical with strong communication skills – the ideal candidate will have demonstrated a track record of superior financial modeling and using analysis to influence decision-making, including prior experience in a corporate finance and/or accounting
- Self-starter who is team-oriented, inquisitive, and enjoys problem solving; strong work-ethic is a must
- Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with FP&A systems (NetSuite and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting a plus)
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to perform the functions as described. Incumbents must have the ability to persuade and negotiate with others while projecting professionalism.
- The ability to collaborate with, encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation across teams/departments is essential. Incumbents must also initiate and direct comprehensive programs and initiatives as described.

Salary Range$99500.00 To $135000.00 / year

Onboarding & Travel
This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity’s immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations.
This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
