Position Summary
The People Business Partner (PBP) is a dynamic and strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and executing regional people strategies that drive business results and organizational success. Partnering with plant and regional leadership, this position provides thought leadership, fosters high-performance, and ensures alignment between business objectives and people priorities across a multi-location employee base.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Business Alignment and Leadership Support
Align people strategies with overall business objectives while providing leadership with guidance and support by:
• Mapping Organizational Design and future operating model
• Understanding financial performance indicators and metrics of the business unit
• Supporting strategic workforce planning
• Owning and aligning compensation strategy for the engagement of the workforce
• Championing organizational change initiatives
Talent and Performance Management
Support the implementation of local and regional human capital initiatives that align with business goals through:
• Owning talent roadmap for today and future, aligning on development opportunities for talent.
• Understanding business growth strategy as well as talent challenges with leader for the function/business unit support.
• Assisting in identifying skill gaps and supporting development plans
• Helping facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting and reviews
• Assisting with pay-for-performance processes
Communities of Expertise Liaison
Align People related strategy to operational needs by:
• Advocating operational needs to connect COE strategy
• Leverage COEs for services, programs, policies, and solutions
• Supporting team effectiveness through use of organizational tools and execution of cyclical processes
• Participating in planning discussions to align HR support with business needs
• Assisting People Relations team with corporate initiatives, investigations, and other escalated matters
Data Analytics and Insights
Use available HR data to:
• Utilize the insights and pattern of people analytics to proactively address/inform actions, influence decision making about the workforce
• Track trends in turnover, engagement, and performance
• Provide data-driven guidance to managers to support decision-making
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist capacity
• Strong knowledge of core HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and leadership development
• Proven ability to build relationships, influence leaders, and partner effectively with business stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and compliance practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment while managing multiple priorities
• Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously develop
• Ability to travel up to 25% as business needs require
