PLAN DESIGN TEAM LEAD – WEALTH MANAGEMENT
We are a 17-person office located near downtown Los Gatos seeking a dynamic, confident and detail-oriented leader to join our team of financial professionals. This position will lead our amazing Plan Design team, working closely with our advisors to provide comprehensive support in developing and maintaining client relationships and financial plans. This is an in-person, in-office, M - F 8:00 - 5:00 position.
The ideal candidate will have leadership, financial planning, analysis, and client interaction experience. eMoney experience is strongly desired, but a high level of proficiency with another planning software such as Money Guide Pro is acceptable. Additionally, we are looking for an applicant with superb Excel, analysis, business writing and communication skills. Importantly, forging and maintaining strong relationships with co-workers and clients is a top priority; previous experience successfully handling client relationships is required.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
Lead and motivate a team of Plan Design Associates, maintaining an efficient and effective department. Assist advisors and colleagues in retaining current clients and attracting new ones through superb relationships, designing complex custom financial plans, coordinating the planning process, and interacting collaboratively with our Financial Services and Insurance departments.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
DESIGN FINANCIAL PLANS
- Coordinate all steps of the new client process, beginning with meeting with clients and advisors to gathering information regarding the client’s goals, objectives, concerns, and financial positions
- Organize and analyze the information provided, using eMoney and/or Excel and other tools to develop and implement customized financial plans for clients, including retirement planning and investment management
- Understand tax and estate planning strategies and how they integrate with a client’s financial portfolio
- Communicate proactively with clients and prospective clients, as well as responding in a timely manner to their inquiries
- Stay current with available investments and products used by our firm, in addition to industry trends, regulations and best practices in financial planning
- Have an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and be able to leverage that knowledge to create presentations and perform analyses
- We do utilize AI as a tool, but you must understand the analysis behind the result and it will never replace the person-to-person interaction we have with our clients
CLIENT SERVICES
- Participate in client meetings and take and distribute meaningful notes in a timely manner
- Bee comfortable presenting analyses and plans directly to the clients, with input from the advisors
- Assist clients with questions, service requests, and general inquiries
- Interact with the Financial Services and Insurance departments, as required, to develop appropriate recommendations, coordinate client paperwork, and address client service requests
- Aid in the setup of legal documents and work as a liaison between clients and any outside service providers (attorneys, CPAs, etc.)
- Continue to foster the relationship with outside service providers so that documents are prepared and decisions are made in a timely manner
INTERNAL PROCEDURES
- Maintain client files and databases, ensuring compliance with existing firm policies
- Ensure all client documents are stored and maintained in our internal systems to ensure easy retrieval
- Comfortable monitoring a high volume of requests and ensuring communication within the firm is documented for the status of your assigned work
- Regularly guide internal meetings with your team and the advisors to provide updates on outstanding action items
- Willingness to make improvements to internal processes and comfortable in a flexible environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year college degree preferred, but not required, provided you can demonstrate substantial experience and understanding of financial analysis
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
- Multiple years of experience leading a team of people
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel
- Experience with eMoney a significant plus

Pay: $7,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
