Overview
The Strategic Key Accounts Manager is responsible for leading Oticon’s business development and commercial execution within large‑scale contracted accounts across the hearing healthcare industry. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, maximizing contracted performance, increasing customer retention, and ensuring full and accurate execution of contractual obligations.
The Strategic Key Accounts Manager must possess strong strategic, operational, and relationship‑management capabilities, and be able to establish, develop, and retain trusted partnerships with senior‑level stakeholders across complex, multi‑location organizations. The role requires the ability to navigate organizational matrix structures, manage pricing and contract requirements, and proactively identify and resolve channel conflicts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans supporting revenue targets, contract deliverables, and long‑term growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for large contracted accounts and manage senior‑level client relationships across corporate, clinical, and operational functions.
- Lead contract execution activities, including renewals, amendments, pricing updates, and compliance tracking.
- Ensure accurate communication of new product launches, pricing strategies, program changes, and operational updates.
- Analyze account performance, contractual metrics, purchase compliance, and rebate structures to identify opportunities for improving product mix and expanding Oticon share.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key stakeholders, highlighting performance trends, risks, and growth strategies.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders—including sales, marketing, pricing, finance, operations, and supply chain—to ensure seamless delivery of contracted commitments.
- Provide forecasting, performance insights, and reporting aligned to account‑level revenue and compliance drivers.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry policy changes impacting contracted business.
- Maintain accurate CRM and documentation for all contract terms, pricing structures, and account‑specific workflows.
- Proactively resolve issues affecting partner satisfaction or contract adherence and escalate concerns when necessary.
- May perform miscellaneous tasks and/or projects as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; hearing aid industry experience preferred
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with a strong sales acumen, hands-on experience working with large IDNs and/or medical practices
- Demonstrated level of success in the development of cross functional relationships including internal team and external client organizations
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Experience utilizing Salesforce
- Expertise in MS PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
- Travel up to 50%
- Strong proactive business development skills and acumen
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to communicate with senior executives from external partners/companies
- A strong passion for networking
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds, including direct sales teams and channel partners
- Solid grasp of the hearing aid industry and the understanding of the strategic direction of the technology in the market
- Experience in consulting a plus
This is a remote role. You will need the following:
- Reliable and secure Internet Service Provider at home (no public WiFi) for duration of working hours
- Sufficient room to set up a laptop, monitors, keyboard and mouse
- Comfortable space to work for duration of working hours
- Quiet, private and secure space in which to work
The pay for this position is expected to be from $105,750 and $136,500 + Commission; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (listed below)
