Position Overview
Lenox West Capital is seeking a highly motivated Summer Investment Intern to support the firm's investment, asset management, and capital markets activities. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the real estate investment and private equity lifecycle, including underwriting, market research, deal execution, and portfolio management. Interns will have opportunities to interface with senior leadership and present their work to leaders and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Investments and Underwriting
- Conduct market and industry research to support potential new investment opportunities
- Evaluate incoming deals for fit, size, timing, strategy, location, and sponsor quality
- Provide first-pass analysis on team-identified deals
- Conduct deal and sponsor due diligence
- Participate in internal investment discussions, as applicable
- Investment Committee Preparation
- Prepare materials and investment memoranda for investment Committee approval, including underwriting, financial projections, sponsor review, market analysis, risk identification, and scenario sensitivites
- Assist in the closing process and ensure proper recordkeeping
- Deal Pipeline Management
- Maintain and organize all documents and files for specific deals and sponsors
- Update Deal Tracker spreadsheet to record and monitor deal review scope
- Portfolio and Asset Management
- Assist in analyzing asset performance and budgets
- Support the team in maintaining and enhancing investment and asset management databases
- Compile and summarize insights from recent transactions and portfolio performance
- Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects, including cross-functional collaboration with acquisitions, capital markets, and finance

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Must be currently enrolled as a student during the internship period
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling preferred) and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools is a plus
- Strong interest in real estate investing and private equity
- Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- Intellectually curious, excellent analytical, critical thinking skills with strong business acumen and attention-to-detail.
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the initiative to organize and prioritize work
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Program Details
- Full-time summer internship (approximately 10–12 weeks)
- Internship is based in Los Angeles, CA and will include in-office work with partial hybrid flexibility
