OverviewFWI is building a team to develop and monitor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) program's performance outputs and policy support services, to include updating current policies, initiating new policies to support national, state, and local veterans’ offices, or examining federal policies affecting execution of veterans’ programs and changing policies to include latest Congressional and Executive Order decisions. As a Senior Analyst you will be a part of a team that is responsible for evaluating and analyzing program performance data, research and development of program policy and processes, and review and update of policy implementation in regional and field offices.
**This is a full-time remote position; however, the customer may ask for an occasional office visit.**

Shall have extensive experience in rigorously analyzing data and building data visualizations that support findings and recommendations to stakeholders
This individual shall have experience communicating technical guidance for data collection instruments, providing technical assistance to customers, and presenting performance outcomes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to undergo and successfully pass a minimum background investigation (MBI) or a background investigation (BI) conducted through the U.S. Department of Labor
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards/maps using Tableau Desktop/Creator, to include preparing and querying the data using workflows in Tableau Prep Builder. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in each of the following areas:
- Identifying, repairing, and maintaining data gathering systems: This includes experience with data infrastructure, data collection tools, data cleaning and processing methodologies, and troubleshooting data quality issues
- Developing guidance on how to access and interpret data products and providing verbal and written one-on-one technical assistance: This includes experience with preparing user guides, job aids, and other documentation; providing clear and concise technical explanations; and troubleshooting issues with users
- Preparing data: This includes retrieving extremely large datasets from existing databases, connecting and combining data from multiple internal and external data sources, then applying filters, joins, unions, counts, and other operations that yield the desired result
- Interpreting data: This includes experience with data analysis techniques, identifying trends and patterns in data, and drawing conclusions from data sets
Desired Qualifications:
- Workforce development programs and issues surrounding employment and training programs: This includes understanding the goals and objectives of various workforce development programs, the challenges faced by participants, and the best practices for program design and implementation
- National and statewide workforce agency development systems: This includes understanding the structure and function of the Employment and Training Administration’s Workforce Integrated Performance System (WIPS) and the Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL)
- Quantitative analysis: This includes advanced skills in data analysis, data visualization, and interpretation of complex data sets using tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, Tableau, etc.

Pay Range
$100,000 - $108,000 per year
