Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that elevate our mission and expand our reach. You will leverage your expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management to engage diverse audiences and promote our programs for campers, volunteers and investors. The Marketing Specialist executes the vision of compelling digital and print communications that elevate the mission, programs, and impact of Camp Boggy Creek. Working in close collaboration with the Chief Development Officer and senior leadership, this role ensures the integrity of the organization’s brand standards while personally developing consistent, engaging, and mission-driven content across all platforms.
This is a hands-on content creation role responsible for designing, writing, producing, and managing digital and hard-copy collateral for donors, volunteers, campers, families, partners, and community audiences. Responsibilities include creating and managing social media content, updating website content, producing email communications, developing digital storytelling campaigns, photography and video projects, supporting event promotion, and print materials. The role works with outside vendors and creative partners for video production, photography, and design projects while also independently producing a variety of in-house content and communications materials.
Responsibilities:
- Keep and track the organizations marketing and communication calendar across all departments
- Create and publish all social media content across all platforms showing impact and story
- Monitor social media engagement and provide basic performance reporting
- Capture photos and videos across all camp events and sessions. Engage volunteer photographers and vendors when appropriate.
- Produce highlight reels and recap videos of camper sessions and all camp events
- Assist in the production and creation of marketing collateral across departments, ensuring consistency in branding, messaging, and design under established guidelines.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and volunteers as needed for print, design, photography, video, and other creative production projects.
- Maintain and update the Camp Boggy Creek website by adding approved content such as staff updates, events, and program information to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Assist in building, testing, and maintaining campaign landing pages for donations in coordination with the development and fundraising teams. This requires learning and understanding the connection to our database and donor processes
- Support execution of annual marketing and communication plan
- Collaborate with development team, Camp Program staff and camper recruitments teams to support fundraising, volunteer engagement, and program visibility through storytelling and communications support.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals and mission delivery
- Demonstrate initiative, responsiveness, and teamwork by proactively supporting departmental needs and asking how assistance can be provided.
- Use storytelling through photography, video, and written content to help communicate the mission and impact of Camp Boggy Creek, working towards conversions.

Requirements
- Proven experience with SEO tools, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook, instagram, youtube
- Strong skills in content creation, copywriting, graphic design, and social media management and timelines
- Familiarity with WordPress, Squarespace content management systems, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL is highly desirable
- Video production and photography in storytelling
- Project Management skills
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and email marketing strategies
- Ability to analyze data effectively to optimize digital marketing performance
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude toward learning and collaboration
