Position Summary
Apex Engineering, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Civil Designer - 2D/3D Modeling to join our team in Daphne, Alabama.The Civil Modeler/Drafter will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for civil engineering and construction projects. This role requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, solid 2D drafting skills, and a thorough understanding of civil construction documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D civil models using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prepare detailed 2D construction drawings, plans, profiles, and cross-sections
- Assist with grading plans, utility layouts, drainage design, and site development plans
- Generate quantity takeoffs and support estimating efforts as needed
- Coordinate drawings with engineers, project managers, and field teams
- Revise drawings based on internal and client feedback
- Ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong 2D drafting experience in AutoCAD
- Understanding of civil engineering plans (grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications
- Architectural drafting experience
- Experience with building layouts and coordination between civil and architectural plans
- Familiarity with BIM workflows
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, design technology, or related field
