About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Sales Specialist Part-time to support the growth of DELISHOUS across the New York City market.
DELISHOUS is a next-generation kombucha brand rooted in premium tea, focused on delivering a more balanced, low-acid, and refined drinking experience. As an early-stage brand, we are actively expanding into cafes, restaurants, and specialty retail stores.
This role offers hands-on experience in field sales, retail expansion, and market development within a fast-growing beverage startup. You will work closely with the founder to help build distribution from the ground up and gain real exposure to how a beverage brand enters and grows in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and reach out to potential cafe, restaurant, and retail partners across NYC
Support new account openings and maintain relationships with store owners and managers
Execute in-store merchandising, including product placement, display setup, and restocking
Monitor inventory levels and assist with reorder coordination
Assist with day-to-day field sales activities and territory expansion efforts
Support in-store tastings, sampling events, and local brand activations
Track account progress, feedback, and basic sales data using internal tools or Excel
Provide general support on ongoing business development and go-to-market initiatives
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university
Strong interest in business development, startups, or the beverage / CPG industry
Comfortable with in-person outreach and building relationships with local businesses
Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
Able to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Able to travel within New York City as needed
Proficiency in English
Comfortable with light physical tasks (e.g., carrying samples, setting up displays)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer-facing roles
Interest in food & beverage, hospitality, or consumer brands
Familiarity with the NYC cafe or restaurant scene is a strong advantage
