Do you have relationships with multifamily developers, owners, or GCs? We're looking for a Business Development Manager who can walk in the door on day one and start opening conversations.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Studio B Design Group (interior design and procurement) and Outdoor Amenity Co. (outdoor amenity design and procurement) are two complementary companies serving the multifamily real estate market across the United States. We're growing and need a driven BD professional to help expand our pipeline across both brands.
This is a unique role - you'll represent two companies with natural cross-sell potential, giving you more opportunities to add value to every relationship you bring in.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Build and expand relationships with multifamily developers, GCs, and property management companies
· Generate qualified meetings and introductions for both Studio B Design Group and Outdoor Amenity Co.
· Represent both brands at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
· Manage your pipeline - tracking contacts, activity, and deal status
· Identify cross-sell opportunities where both companies can serve the same client
· Collaborate with ownership on proposals and presentations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
· Experience in business development within multifamily, AEC, or real estate development
· An existing network of relationships with multifamily developers, owners, or GCs
· Ability to credibly represent both a design firm and an amenity/product company
· Self-starter mentality — you don't need hand-holding to get meetings on the calendar
· Strong communication and relationship management skills
· Comfortable with longer sales cycles and project-based pipelines
COMPENSATION — FLEXIBLE TO FIT THE RIGHT PERSON
We're open to structuring compensation in a way that works for the right candidate. Three options are available:
· Base + Commission: Competitive base salary with commission on new clients you originate
· Draw + Commission: Monthly draw for the first 90 days against a sliding commission scale (8–12%) tied to annual new revenue. Draw is forgiven — not clawed back
· 100% Commission: Higher commission rate for candidates with a strong existing book who prefer full upside
Commission is paid on new client contracts across both companies, with a 24-month tail on repeat business. Strong performers can realistically earn $75,000–$100,000+ annually in commission.
