About Locali
Locali https://locali.com (pronounced “locally”) is a hyper-local discovery platform that helps people find nearby businesses, promotions, events, and exclusive local experiences. We help local businesses, nonprofits, venues, restaurants, shops, service providers, and community organizations become more visible, promote what they offer, and connect with nearby customers.
Locali is also building its marketing approach around practical, AI-enabled tools and workflows. We are looking for someone who can help us use AI to improve content creation, campaign execution, marketing analytics, lead generation, design, and automation.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Contract Marketing Specialist will support Locali’s customer acquisition, brand development, digital marketing, and campaign execution. This role is ideal for someone who understands startup marketing, can work hands-on across multiple channels, and is interested in using AI tools to make marketing more effective and efficient.
The right person will be both strategic and execution-oriented — able to help design campaigns, implement them with third-party tools, review results, test improvements, and use AI-enabled workflows to scale marketing output without sacrificing quality or authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing Campaigns
- Plan and implement email marketing campaigns using third-party email providers.
- Help build segmented lists, campaign workflows, landing page follow-ups, and nurture sequences.
- Draft or refine email copy for business owners, nonprofits, venues, community partners, and potential Locali customers.
- Coordinate email campaign launches, test emails before sending, and monitor campaign performance.
- Track open rates, click-through rates, conversions, unsubscribes, and other campaign metrics.
- Recommend improvements based on campaign data and conversion results.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to support audience segmentation, subject-line testing, personalization, content variation, and campaign analysis.
AI-Enabled Marketing
Help Locali develop and implement practical AI-enabled marketing workflows.
Responsibilities may include:
- Use AI tools to assist with marketing content development, including email copy, landing page copy, social media posts, ad concepts, blog drafts, campaign ideas, and sales support materials.
- Use AI image and graphic generation tools to create or support branded visual assets.
- Assist with AI-supported data analytics, including campaign performance analysis, lead scoring concepts, audience segmentation, and marketing insights.
- Help design repeatable AI workflows for campaign planning, content creation, editing, testing, and reporting.
- Explore ways to use AI agents or automation tools to streamline marketing operations.
- Support automation of routine marketing tasks, such as content calendars, campaign follow-ups, reporting summaries, lead routing, and CRM-related workflows.
- Evaluate AI-generated content carefully for accuracy, tone, brand fit, and usefulness.
- Help Locali use AI to increase marketing output while keeping messaging local, human, trustworthy, and community-oriented.
Conversion Rate Optimization
- Create, manage, or improve landing pages using tools such as Unbounce or similar platforms.
- Help test different headlines, calls-to-action, offers, forms, page layouts, and lead magnets.
- Review visitor behavior and recommend ways to improve signup and trial conversion rates.
- Help connect marketing campaigns to clear conversion goals, such as demo requests, trial signups, partner inquiries, or business onboarding.
- Use AI tools to generate test variations, analyze results, and identify opportunities for improved conversion.
Startup Social Media Marketing
- Help plan and execute social media content for Locali across relevant platforms.
- Create posts that highlight local businesses, promotions, events, community stories, and Locali product benefits.
- Support founder-led, community-oriented, and startup-style marketing content.
- Identify opportunities to use social media to build trust with local businesses and community partners.
- Help create simple content calendars, post templates, and campaign themes.
- Use AI tools to assist with social post drafts, visual concepts, short-form content, campaign repurposing, and performance analysis.
Brand Design and Marketing Materials
- Assist with brand design, visual consistency, and marketing collateral.
- Create or refine graphics, flyers, one-page information sheets, social media visuals, email graphics, landing page assets, and print materials.
- Help maintain a consistent Locali brand voice and visual identity.
- Support campaign materials for business owners, nonprofits, hotels, event organizers, restaurants, retailers, and local partners.
- Use tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar design tools.
- Use AI-assisted design and image-generation tools where appropriate while maintaining quality, brand consistency, and professionalism.
Additional Marketing Support
Depending on experience, the contractor may also assist with:
- Radio ad concepts, scripts, and campaign coordination.
- Print marketing materials, postcards, flyers, business cards, leave-behinds, and local promotional pieces.
- Community partnership campaigns.
- Event-based marketing.
- Local launch campaigns in Fort Collins and nearby Northern Colorado communities.
- Marketing support for small businesses and nonprofit outreach.
- Marketing automation workflows using CRM, email, landing page, analytics, and AI tools.

- Email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, HubSpot, Brevo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or similar tools.
- Landing page and conversion tools such as Unbounce, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, or similar platforms.
