We have an immediate opening for a Financial Advisor to join our team!
(This position has a dedicated territory and competitive commission-based compensation package. Assigned areas include Fort Collins and Timnath. The Advisor will conduct business from Bellco Credit Union branches in these locations).
Seeking a Licensed Investment Representative to assist new clients and credit union members reach their financial goals by providing exceptional personalized service and appropriate financial solutions. The Financial Advisor is responsible for providing tailored investment advice, financial plans, and portfolio management in-line with client best interests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and evaluate client and credit union member needs for financial services, assess the objectives and goals of the individual, develop an investment strategy to implement.
- Proactively market appropriate investment products to clients.
- Identify and develop relationships with Wholesalers
- Keep current on investment products and services offered
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships based on trust and respect for clients and credit union members
- Follow through on the sales goals set forth by the Investment Program Manager
- Work with branch employees and provide feedback to support sales practices and business development initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Periodically meet with clients to review and update needs ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan. Meetings to take place monthly, quarterly and/or yearly depending on client needs established by Representative
- Address and solve business-related challenges as needed
- Drive awareness for investment integration initiatives
- Follow the rules and regulations set forth by the credit union, FINRA, SEC and the broker dealer
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications:
- A college degree and minimum 3 years Financial Advisor industry experience
- Active FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63/65 or 66 licenses and Colorado Life and Health Insurance Licenses
- Experience with advisory product platforms and annuities
- Analyzing and managing the performance of members’ investment portfolios
- Exceptional sales orientation and in-depth investment knowledge
- Requires professional, well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with members, visitors, callers, vendors
- Great organization skills
- Strong presentation skills along with a strong work ethic are also required. Previous experience working in credit union or community bank environment preferred.
Investment Representatives are registered through Osaic (Member FINRA/SIPC). Osaic offers representatives a supportive back-office staff, tomorrow’s technology, a proprietary database for client information, and clearing through Pershing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
