Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator with a strong background in design-build projects to join our team. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost estimates while collaborating closely with engineering, project management, and clients throughout the preconstruction phase. The ideal candidate understands both conceptual design and detailed estimating, and can translate evolving project requirements into reliable budgets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems on design-build and negotiated projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and conceptual documents to develop scope and pricing
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to align estimates with design intent and constructability
- Participate in value engineering and cost optimization strategies
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Develop quantity takeoffs, labor projections, and material pricing
- Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating databases
- Identify project risks and opportunities during preconstruction
- Support proposal development and client presentations
- Assist in handoff of awarded projects to operations teams
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
