As we continue to grow, we are expanding our business development efforts and looking for someone to help drive new opportunities, support client relationships, and contribute to overall sales growth.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Business Development Associate to support our growth through outreach, lead follow-up, and general coordination support.
This role is ideal for someone interested in business development and building client relationships, with the opportunity to be involved in creating and growing accounts, supporting real client work, and contributing to large group movements.
You will work directly with the Business Development Manager and play a key role in generating new opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting the execution of transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Outreach
- Identify and research potential opportunities (corporate groups, schools, conventions, associations, etc.)
- Conduct outbound outreach and follow up on leads and proposals
- Assist in creating and growing client accounts through consistent communication and follow-up
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities to support ongoing sales activity
- Support client communication, proposal development, and opportunity progression
Sales Support
- Assist with preparing quotes, proposals, and client-facing materials
- Help move opportunities forward by maintaining communication and tracking next steps
- Support relationship-building efforts with new and existing clients
- Assist in coordinating additional resources when needed to support booked work
Operational & Team Support
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client communication in CRM
- Work closely with internal teams to support smooth service execution
- Provide general support across business development initiatives and active projects
Event Support (As Needed)
- Assist with onsite coordination for select events and shuttle programs
- Support execution of larger or more complex group movements as business demands grow
- Help ensure smooth service flow and act as an additional point of contact during operations
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with outreach, follow-up, and building client relationships
- Proactive, reliable, and able to take initiative
- Positive, team-oriented mindset
Preferred:
- Experience in sales, business development, hospitality, or logistics
- Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot or similar)
- General knowledge of the Chicagoland market, including corporate, events, or group transportation environments
