Company Description Gatcha is a culture and entertainment company founded in 2019, focused on innovative arcade and family entertainment centers as well as plush collectibles. The company operates across four key areas: global artist development, intellectual property incubation and management, retail operations, and the growth of Gatcha locations. This mix of creative development and experiential retail allows Gatcha to bring original characters and stories directly to fans. Gatcha is currently building Gatcha NYC, an upcoming flagship location that will showcase its entertainment experiences and collectibles.
Role Description This is a contract, on-site Social Media Content Creator role based in New York, NY. The Social Media Content Creator will plan, produce, and publish engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Rednote, and other relevant channels to promote Gatcha and Gatcha NYC. Day-to-day responsibilities include capturing photo and video content on-site, editing and optimizing posts for each platform, and maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual style. The role will collaborate closely with marketing, retail, and creative teams to highlight new products, events, artist collaborations, and in-location experiences. The Social Media Content Creator will monitor trends, track performance metrics, and adjust content based on audience engagement and campaign goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience creating and publishing social media content (photo, video, short-form, and stories) for brands or personal portfolios.
- Proficiency with content creation and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, Canva, or similar) and basic knowledge of mobile-first production.
- Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices, particularly for Instagram, TikTok, and emerging channels.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling captions, hooks, and calls to action.
- Ability to ideate and execute content concepts aligned with brand strategy, pop culture, and current social media trends.
- Comfort working on-site in a dynamic entertainment/retail environment, including capturing live content during events and peak hours.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with designers, photographers, or marketing partners; familiarity with basic analytics and reporting is a plus.
- Prior experience in entertainment, gaming, anime, collectibles, or related culture-driven industries is highly beneficial.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on events and content needs.
