The Financial Analyst II supports manufacturing finance operations for the Infection Prevention business at the El Paso manufacturing facility. This role partners with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership to drive financial performance, improve cost visibility, support forecasting and budgeting activities, and maintain strong financial controls.
The position is heavily focused on manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory analysis, standard costing, variance analysis, and operational decision support within an SAP environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Financial Close & Reporting
- Lead monthly financial close activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of manufacturing financial results.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial performance and explain key variances.
Manufacturing Cost Accounting
- Maintain and review standard costs.
- Analyze manufacturing variances including:
- Labor
- Material
- Overhead
- Yield
- Purchase price variances
- Support inventory valuation and inventory control processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual operating plan development.
- Maintain rolling forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve forecast accuracy.
Business Partnership
- Support plant leadership with financial insights and decision support.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses.
- Evaluate product introductions, product discontinuations, and operational investments.
Controls & Compliance
- Support SOX compliance activities.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
- Assist internal and external audit requests.
Required Qualifications-
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Experience
- 3+ years of finance or accounting experience.
- Manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant finance experience.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience.
- Experience supporting month-end close.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- ERP experience.
- Financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Inventory and costing analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience.
- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.
- CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification.
