About the Strategy team @ 99 Ranch: Strategyis an agile, entrepreneurial team that works directly with the office of the CEO and executive leadership on: (a) defining transformative strategic priorities, (b) advancing data-driven frameworks and tools across a broad scope of business functions, (c) conducting diagnostic deep dives into various aspects of the business, and (d) leading complex strategic projects through execution. The strategy team touches assortment strategy, pricing and promotions, store and DC operations, ecommerce strategy, customer and market research, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development of strategic and data-driven frameworks across a variety of business functions
- Collaborate with a range of cross-functional stakeholders to capture current opportunities, define future priorities, and propose execution plans and timelines
- Build analytical models and tools (in collaboration with Data & Analytics) to identify business performance insights, size opportunities, and influence strategic priorities
- Proactively identify and drive business process improvements that will enrich technological and analytical capabilities (e.g., evaluating potential tools)
- Communicate opportunities and findings to executive leadership and other relevant stakeholders
Requirements:
- Have 3-5+ years of top-tier strategy consulting experience, with exposure to the Food & Retail industry (esp. merchandising, pricing and promotions, and/or store operations)
- Are naturally data-driven, very comfortable in Excel, and enjoy thinking through the most rigorous quantitative approach for any problem
- Have experience influencing and collaborating with a variety of different cross-functional stakeholders (think anyone from store operations teams to data scientists, merchandisers, supply chain teams, business leaders and the C-suite); can adapt your communication style with ease
- Are biased towards ownership and action
- Have demonstrated interest in the Food industry
- Have some fluency in Mandarin Chinese (not 100% necessary, but preferred)
- Computer skills: Google Office Suite (Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc)
- Able to frequently carry objects up to 25 lbs.

- This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $120,000 – $160,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
