MINISO is looking for a Merchandise Coordinator to join our growing Merchandise team. This is an entry-level role focused on supporting the merchandise team and assisting with various tasks within the buying, planning, allocations, and visual teams. This role involves a mix of administrative duties, data management, and coordination between different departments. It provides foundational exposure to retail merchandising and buying operations.
- Prepare sales reports, stock reports, and other performance analyses to support data-driven buying decisions.
- Assist buyers with the execution of product assortments, order entry, and system maintenance.
- Track purchase orders, monitor inventory levels and assist planning and allocation teams
- Support team with weekly sales recaps, reporting, recapping, inventory tracking, and SKU/sizing analysis
- Contribute to performance analysis, including preparing notes and actionable insights
- Assist the buying team in coordinating product launches, seasonal collections, and promotional activities through administrative and operational support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely data reporting
- Orders, tracks and maintains all product samples ensuring strong organization and coordination throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate product databases, support SKU creation and maintenance, and handle necessary documentation related to orders and vendor communications.
- Enter and maintain price/cost changes for relevant categories
- Supports vendor communications and updates
- Prepares samples for PR and Marketing turn-ins throughout the season.
- Supports with sample set up for key meetings.
- Create and maintain IP Calendar for cross-functional partners
- Work closely with planning, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution from product sourcing to store availability.
- Manage schedules, prepare reports, and organize meetings for the buying team
- Help manage the flow of product data between the merchandising team and other departments
- Assist with routine communications to suppliers, such as confirming order details, scheduling shipments, and tracking deliveries
- Ensure product data is up to date in internal systems
- Perform basic market research and compile information on competitor offerings and product trends, providing initial insights to the team
- Act as a liaison between the buying team and other stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A proactive, self-starter mindset, you take ownership and follow through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A genuine interest in merchandising, retail, and consumer products
- Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably with a specialization in marketing or retail merchandising
- 0-2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or a related field
