Role Description
Candidate will have the ability to learn from an experienced team across the group’s verticals includingcorporate direct lending and special situations, lender/specialty finance and contract monetization. Candidates will be instrumental in all aspects of the deal process from initial screening, diligence & underwriting through closing. The role will entail working closely with senior members of the team, borrowers, sponsors, third party advisors, and internal stakeholders. Candidate should have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, and a high level of integrity and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full range of deal underwriting work streams and due diligence on new opportunities including financial modeling, primary and secondary research, and other company or industry specific analysis
- Produce detailed investment materials with accompanying analysis and memos
- Participate in diligence sessions with sponsors, management teams & consultants
- Monitoring of portfolio risk and borrower performance
- Performing other duties and special projects as needed
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in direct lending, opportunistic credit, private equity, leveraged finance, restructuring or investment banking
- Support syndication efforts including creating marketing materials, data room, and diligence for potential investors
- Ability to support the execution of transactions including preparation of detailed investment memoranda and financial modelling
- Extraordinarily high level of focus and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with self-starting attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
