The Role
This role sits at the core of Ultratech’s engagement with its investor base, with a strong emphasis on expanding relationships with Limited Partners while driving the firm’s capital formation and external positioning.
The ideal candidate brings a personal network of institutional investors and demonstrable experience engaging LPs, with the ability to develop and convert new investor relationships into long-term capital partnerships. This is not a purely executional role—candidates should be comfortable leveraging existing relationships (“portable” network) while building new ones on behalf of the firm.
This is a highly visible role at the intersection of venture investing, fundraising, and storytelling, offering direct exposure to the firm’s strategy, portfolio companies, and market positioning, with a clear mandate to contribute to fundraising outcomes and the continued growth of Ultratech’s LP base.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a central role in fundraising processes, including support and actively contribute to LP relationship management, including ongoing communication, updates, and engagement with existing investors
- Translate complex, technical portfolio developments into clear, compelling narratives tailored to LP audiences
- Contribute to positioning Ultratech in the market, enhancing the firm’s profile within the LP ecosystem and across the broader venture and defence-tech landscape
- Work closely with the investment team to ensure consistent and differentiated messaging across sectors and portfolio themes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field with strong commercial exposure
- 2–7 years of relevant experience across investor relations, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar
- Demonstrated track record to LP interactions, fundraising processes, or client-facing roles
- Strong attention to detail alongside the ability to think strategically about messaging and positioning
- High degree of ownership, organisation, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with CRM tools and investor databases is a plus
- Strong interest in venture capital, capital formation, and deep/critical technologies
Compensation
Competitive and commensurate with experience.
