Job Summary
Infinity Charter School seeks a collaborative, trustworthy, and solutions-oriented Business Manager to join its leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO/Principal, the Business Manager is responsible for the effective management of the school's financial and business operations and plays a vital role in supporting the school's Mission, Vision, and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the school community to support informed decision-making, strategic planning, and responsible stewardship of school resources. Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Develop, monitor, and manage the annual operating budget.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and budget analyses.
- Monitor revenues, expenditures, cash flow, and fund balances.
- Complete payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and banking functions.
- Coordinate annual audits and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial requirements.
- Support required Pennsylvania Department of Education reporting and compliance activities.
- Oversee grant compliance, financial reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Coordinate insurance, risk management, and related business functions.
Operations
- Support employee benefits administration and related reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and business service agreements.
- Assist with facility-related financial planning and capital budgeting.
- Support procurement and purchasing activities.
Leadership and Governance
- Serve as a member of the school's leadership team.
- Attend Board of Trustees and Finance Committee meetings.
- Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations.
- Support strategic planning and organizational improvement efforts.
- Provide financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
Grants, Alternative Revenue, and Strategic Initiatives
- Collaborate with school leadership to identify and evaluate grants, partnerships, and alternative revenue opportunities.
- Support the development, implementation, and financial oversight of grant-funded initiatives.
- Assist in identifying opportunities that advance the school's Mission, Vision, and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial management, and business operations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania clearances.
Preferred
- Experience in a Pennsylvania public charter school or traditional public school district setting.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania school finance and charter school funding.
- Pennsylvania Certified School Business Administrator (PCSBA).
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with grants, audits, and financial compliance activities.
