Description:
This person will perform civil engineering and tasks for a wide variety of projects including concept development and refinement, preliminary and final design, construction document preparation, cost estimating and construction observation. These engineering projects include but are not limited to water/ wastewater system master planning, infrastructure analysis, design of water distribution, pumping and treatment systems, design of wastewater collection, lift station and treatment, well equipping, and site design. All assignments involve client coordination, obtaining regulatory agency approvals and public outreach.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work and communicate effectively with private or municipal clients as well as local, state, and federal agencies.
- Prepare final reports/master plans for water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Design and sketch details of the work. CADD experience required.
- Prepare cost estimates.
- Prepare specifications.
- Maintain project records for client and company purposes.
- Submit projects on time and on internal/external budget.
- Work on and manage a mix of municipal and private projects of varying size and complexity.
Civil Engineer background requirements:
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering or higher from an accredited university or college.
- Must possess 5 years of progressive experience.
- Municipal experience in water/wastewater.
- P.E. or ability to obtain within 6 months for out-of-state candidates.
