Looking to take your analytical talents to the global stage?
Randstad, in partnership with our client—a leading innovator in the healthcare space—is looking for a driven, forward-thinking Global Portfolio Strategy Specialist to join a dynamic team in San Diego, CA.
If you love diving into data, building financial models, and helping shape the long-term roadmap for products that genuinely impact lives, this is the place for you. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, collaborative, and inclusive environment where fresh perspectives aren't just welcomed—they are celebrated!
The Big Picture (At a Glance)
- Pay Rate: $30 - $36 / hour
- Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Temporary)
- Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
- Target Start Date: July 13, 2026
- Travel: 10-15% (Both domestic and international adventures!)
- The Sweet Spot: This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional (~1–5 years of post-college experience) with killer Excel skills and a passion for strategy.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Our client believes that great ideas can come from anywhere. We aren't looking for someone who just follows the "industry standard" playbook—we want a fresh mind, a curious spirit, and someone who loves to think outside the box. You’ll be surrounded by supportive mentors, work cross-functionally across product and finance teams, and get massive exposure to high-level strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Do
This is a pure strategy and analytics role (not traditional marketing!). You will be the engine behind the scenes evaluating new product opportunities:
- Strategic Modeling: Partner with Product Managers to build financial models, ROI calculations, and business cases for future innovations.
- Market Intelligence: Dive into macroeconomic trends and competitive intelligence to help map out global market sizes (TAM/SAM).
- Portfolio Management: Help create and maintain dashboards, trackers, and roadmaps to ensure global projects align with long-term financial goals.
- Keep Things Moving: Help track team spending (OPEX) against budgets and route internal operational approvals (SOWs/POs).
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for high-potential, hungry-to-learn talent with a strong analytical foundation:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years of full-time, post-college experience in corporate strategy, FP&A, management consulting, data analytics, or commercial operations. (Medical device/healthcare experience is a plus, but we are open to adjacent industries if your skills are sharp!).
- Excel Wizardry: You should be incredibly comfortable with heavy financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data manipulation. Exposure to Tableau or Power BI is a great bonus!
- The "Soft" Skills: You are comfortable with ambiguity, love problem-solving, and can communicate complex data into a clear, concise story for leadership.
