Job Title: Sales Representative – Chicago Market
Compensation: Base Salary- $50,000-$70,000+Sales Incentive Bonuses alongside Company Vehicle!
Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for executing retail sales activities across grocery store accounts in the Chicago market. This role focuses on driving volume, achieving sales budgets, expanding distribution, and selling promotional programs including ads, displays, and in-store features. The Sales Rep plays a key role in building strong store-level relationships and ensuring excellent execution in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales Execution
- Call on assigned grocery retail accounts on a regular route schedule
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets
- Execute distribution goals
- Identify and close new selling opportunities in-store
Promotions, Ads & Displays
- Sell and secure incremental promotional activity including ads, displays, and feature space
- Ensure execution of all approved promotional programs at store level
- Work with store managers and buyers to maximize visibility and sell-through
Store-Level Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with store managers, department managers, and key decision makers
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day retail execution
- Resolve store-level issues quickly and professionally
Merchandising & Execution Standards
- Ensure product placement meets company standards for visibility and presentation
- Monitor shelf conditions, pricing, and competitive activity
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track store performance, sales results, and promotional effectiveness
- Report competitive activity, pricing changes, and market insights
- Provide feedback to leadership on opportunities and challenges in the market
Schedule & Flexibility
- Some weekend work will be required to support customer events, promotions, and in-store activations
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in CPG sales, grocery, or retail distribution preferred
- Strong understanding of grocery store operations and selling environment
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Spanish and English speaking required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
