Growing Charleston distribution company seeking qualified Staff Accountant to join their team! This role will be responsible for working with the Controller to conduct financial analysis and other month-end closing processes for the company. Excellent benefits and eligible for quarterly Performance Bonus!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records to test for accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Assist controller in month-end closing processes
- Conduct and assist with comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations
- Collaborate with other staff and departments in various projects and analysis
- Assist in implementation of new processes to improve financial efficiency
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields – bachelors in accounting
- Experience with excel and accounting programs. Encompass ERP or other wholesaler/distributor experience is a plus
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
