Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Jewelry Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this entry-level role, you will support the development of innovative jewelry concepts, assist in the creation of detailed designs, and contribute to the overall product development process. This position offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring designers to gain hands-on experience in the jewelry industry, working closely with senior designers and production teams to bring unique jewelry ideas to life. Duties
- Assist in conceptualizing and sketching jewelry designs using illustration tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Support the development of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models to visualize jewelry pieces accurately
- Collaborate with senior designers to refine design concepts based on trend research and brand direction
- Contribute to the creation of mood boards, color palettes, and material selections aligned with current fashion retail trends
- Help prepare technical specifications and production-ready drawings for manufacturing
- Participate in product lifecycle management processes to track design progress from concept through production
- Conduct research on fashion styling, garment construction, and merchandising to inform innovative jewelry designs
- Support sample development and review prototypes for quality, fit, and aesthetic appeal
- Maintain organized digital files of design iterations, sketches, and technical documents
Experience
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Familiarity with CAD software used in jewelry or fashion accessory design
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management principles within a fashion or jewelry context
- Understanding of fashion design principles, color theory, and garment construction techniques
- Experience or interest in fashion retail, styling, or merchandising environments is a plus
- Skills in graphic design, illustration, sewing, or sewing machine operation are advantageous
- Exposure to theater or costume design can provide valuable perspective on creative presentation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and take constructive feedback
