Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land, Regulatory & Engineering Analyst to support a variety of functions across land, regulatory, and engineering operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in developing a broad understanding of the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong analytical skills, and enjoys working in a collaborative office environment.
This role offers exposure to multiple disciplines and provides opportunities to gain hands-on experience supporting land administration, regulatory compliance, data analysis, and engineering-related activities. The position requires working in the office at least three days per week and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection, organization, and maintenance of land, regulatory, and operational records.
- Support preparation and submission of regulatory filings, reports, and documentation.
- Review and analyze data related to leases, permits, wells, production, and other operational activities.
- Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in researching regulatory requirements and monitoring compliance deadlines.
- Support land-related activities, including document review, ownership tracking, and records management.
- Compile reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with land, regulatory, engineering, and operations personnel to gather and validate information.
- Assist with engineering data management, analysis, and project support as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
- Perform other analytical and administrative duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Energy Management, Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, GIS, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge across land, regulatory, and engineering functions.
- Ability to work in an office environment at least three days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, coursework, or academic project experience related to the oil and gas, energy, or natural resources industry.
- Exposure to land administration, regulatory compliance, GIS, engineering, or data analysis.
- Familiarity with industry terminology, permitting processes, or production operations.
- Experience working with databases, reporting tools, or data management systems.
- Engineering coursework or practical engineering experience is a plus.
