Job Description:
CCM is actively recruiting an Analyst to join our capital markets team. The role will be based in our New York office. The candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with a close-knit team of seasoned professionals and be a key player in the execution of capital markets-related transactions across the capital structure, including IPOs, follow-ons, private placements, and SPAC-related capital raise transactions.
Our Analysts assume significant responsibility and are included in all aspects of a transaction from origination to closing. They work on small deal teams, get immediate and direct exposure to senior bankers and client senior executives, and are responsible for the execution tasks of each transaction, and assist in advising on transaction structure and valuation. The work is fast-paced and requires the ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
CCM offers Analysts the chance to get exposure to high-profile transactions, advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than at traditional bulge-bracket firms. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing investment banking team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the execution of capital raise offerings and communicate with the client’s management team, legal teams, and other advisors.
Support the management of buyer/investor interactions, feedback, and tracking throughout the transaction process
Research and maintain databases of key investors and market data
Evaluate current and historical market data to support recommendations to clients
Analysis of companies, transaction structures, deal activity, and corporate filings to present to management teams and clients
Prepare pitch materials to generate new business opportunities
Model and/or manage the modeling of complex transaction scenarios
General research and presentation of findings
Creation of materials for Board meetings and client presentations
Understand the nature of the firm’s existing relationships
Contribute to the continuous evolution of the firm
Requirements
1+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking with strong experience across the capital markets (debt, equity, and/or equity-linked)
Additionally, candidates with specific product experience in capital markets, private capital raises, or M&A advisory would be strong fits for our growing franchise. SPAC knowledge/experience is preferred.
Undergraduate degree in business (accounting, finance, economics), technical sciences (engineering, physics), or liberal arts, with a preference for a strong academic record from a top-tier school
Strong work ethic, self-motivated and entrepreneurial
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability, with strong quantitative/technical skills and attention to detail
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
Maturity, presence, and poise to take on client-facing responsibilities
FactSet, Bloomberg, Dealogic, Placement Tracker, MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferred
Series 7, 63, 79 licenses required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter
US work authorization

Salary Range:
$120k/yr - $120k/yr
This annual salary range is based on information at the time this post was generated and represent Cohen & Company’s good faith compensation analysis pursuant to the New York City Human Rights Law.
