Title: Brand Designer II
Duration: 4 months
Location: Remote US
Pay: $45-51.50/hour DOE
Our client is seeking a Brand Visual Designer to join its Learning & Development team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll collaborate with designers, writers, instructional designers, strategists, and marketers to create engaging visual experiences that support educational content.
The ideal candidate is a strong brand designer with exceptional visual design skills, a systems-thinking mindset, and the ability to extend a brand consistently across a wide range of digital assets.
Responsibilities
- Help evolve and maintain the program's visual identity across e-learning experiences, marketing initiatives, and business communications.
- Develop scalable design systems, templates, guidelines, and reusable assets that ensure brand consistency.
- Design compelling visual assets for online courses, webinars, certifications, presentations, and other educational content.
- Translate concepts into polished, production-ready creative from initial ideation through final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including designers, writers, marketers, and instructional designers.
- Iterate quickly based on feedback while contributing thoughtful creative ideas throughout the design process.
- Maintain high visual quality across typography, photography, color, iconography, layout, and overall brand expression.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional visual or graphic design experience (2–5 years preferred).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- Brand identity design
- Visual systems and scalable design frameworks
- Marketing and promotional creative
- Campaign design
- Brand extensions across multiple touchpoints
- Strong use of photography within branded experiences
- Experience creating organized design systems and templates.
- Exceptional understanding of typography, composition, color, imagery, iconography, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to present design rationale and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Required Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma (required)
- Adobe Photoshop
- Google Slides
- Experience creating production-ready design assets
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects with the ability to create or edit simple animations.
- Motion graphics experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience supporting established consumer brands or technology companies.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related design discipline is preferred.
